UK Global Talent Visa: Complete Guide

How the route works, who it is for, and how endorsement fits into your application.

This guide is under review. Immigration rules change regularly, so always confirm current requirements on GOV.UK and with the relevant endorsing body.

Who the route is for

The Global Talent Visa is for leaders and potential leaders in digital technology, arts and culture, and academia and research. It does not require a job offer or employer sponsorship.

The two stages

Most applicants first apply for endorsement from an approved endorsing body. Once endorsed, you apply to the Home Office for the visa. Holders of certain eligible prizes can skip the endorsement stage.

Building your evidence

A successful endorsement application tells a coherent story: what you have achieved, how you have been recognised, and the contribution you will make in the UK. Structure matters as much as the evidence itself.
